Scholarship Understanding:
1. The applicant must be a resident of Addison County in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
2. The successful applicant will be responsible for registering for the UVM Extension Master Gardener course (held online, commencing in January; registration commences in the late fall of the previous year) for the upcoming year, and for paying for tuition and materials up front.
3. The Club will reimburse the cost of tuition and materials (for the 2023 course, the total was $475) once the applicant becomes certified as a Master Gardener; this requires that the applicant complete Track 1 of the course (the full Master Gardener volunteer certification program) and complete the requisite 40 volunteer hours (over a two-year period) in order to become certified.
